before Bolton was a pop singer he was a rock singer, singing songs that match Journey in rockin style. Very AOR and even had Bruce Kulick, who would go on to be in KISS, in his band's BlackJack and his first couple solo albums. I think also that Aldo Nova playes some on his early stuff
